How I Reconnected With My Passion
Three weeks into Medium
It’s been three weeks now that I started writing on Medium. I knew the platform for quite some time but, like a scaredy-cat, I was afraid to jump in the water.
I spent my time reading articles in the comfort of my bed and my couch. To change the scenery, I would sometimes go for a stroll in the closest park to my place.
Laptop on my knees, book on my hands and, serious eyebrows on my face, I was really happy to see people looking at me with that awe expression:
“He’s writing in a park, he must be a writer.”
As if I were doing something.
Those wow looks and little comments boosted my ego so much that I started walking with my eyes set on the sky. And that was only the beginning of my illusions.
How it all started
13 years ago I wrote my very first line. It began as innocent as it could be, with the one thing every teen, no, every human begin cannot stop thinking about, Love.
Yes, my writing journey started with a girl. The first day I met her, she sent me a poem. Quite frankly I don’t know if I just wanted to impress her or if I were into writing at that time. But one thing for sure, I answered with a poem of my own. A really bad one…
